1782 Moravian Home Restoration in Bethania, North Carolina

This Moravian home was built in 1782 and lovingly restored by Rosalie Horton. Located in Bethania, North Carolina, the state's first planned Moravian settlement, this quaint little village is on the outskirts of Winston-Salem.

The Soloman Transou house has the feel of a cozy European farmhouse with the best of both worlds, Moravian architectural details and modern-day conveniences. Beautifully decorated, I love the rustic beams, wide plank flooring, door details, kitchen casement windows and built-in bookshelves.

In 2008, Horton purchased the home and began a "frame up" restoration using authentic historical materials. She invested $800,000+ in the restoration and the house is now on the market for $425,000 with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and 2400 square feet.

Refined Nursery Design - French Bulldog Pillow Cover

This sophisticated nursery design is the work of talented interior designer Sarah Touijer in New York City. The neutral palette is anchored by the striking rug from West Elm and the Ferrari wall art adds a striking pop of color. Napoleon, the client's adorable Frenchie, models on the sheepskin rug. She wanted to include her first baby into the design so they chose my French Bulldog silhouette pillow cover in flax beige linen and classic black. Propped in the crib, he's the perfect baby sitter for Max.
